Los Angeles, CA - The 2009 6th Annual ION International Film Festival has announced its location for December 2009 will be held in Lagos, Nigeria. The ION International Film Festival has chosen Lagos for its diversity, rich culture and talented filmmakers. Nollywood is also the third largest film industry in the world. The ION International Film Festival hopes to provide not only Nigerian filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their talents to a wide array of people but also independent filmmakers from across the globe.
