Film is at the forefront of this global accord.

The ION International Film Festival is a touring festival that is dedicated to promoting independent film, documentary, animation, music video and movie trailers. Each year ION will be held in a different international location in an effort to promote global awareness and unity.

ION strives to bring awareness to individuals and organizations who are creating socially relevant films to positively impact our worlds. In an effort to fully engage an array of transglobal creativity we wish to provide a forum for everyone's ingenuity to be premiered.

The ION Film Festival promises to be like none other. This 4-day event of screenings, forums and workshops will allow directors, producers and actors the opportunity to learn from one another and build networking connections through a wide array of artistic prospectives.

ION continues to celebrate the ever expanding world of film, animation and advertising by inviting talents from across the globe to enrich and cultivate these fields, providing an insider's look into world cultures and advancements in the industry.

ION showcases and promotes high-quality international shorts - in the form of movie trailers, narratives, documentaries, animation and music videos. We also screen features - in the form of narrative, documentary and animation.

ION is about everything entertaining, thought-provoking, controversial and most of all ION is about creativity. So get ready and get busy because ION is not holding back!

ION Film Festival was established in 2004 by Chris Davies of Shout Studios and in 2007 was acquired by Farmani Group.
